Clicking Selfies At Hanger Or Inside Aeroplanes Likely to be Banned.

Image
Bad NEWS for Selfies L overs Indian commercial airline pilots have been banned from taking selfies while flying after aviation officials received several complaints about photographs that were posted on social media.  Indian aviation regulator DGCA may soon ask airlines to strictly enforce a ban on taking pictures inside the cockpit and at other critical places, including by crew members. While existing rules also put some restrictions on in-flight photography, the regulator will come out with a detailed set of guidelines in a few days in the wake of certain cases coming to the light about possible security risks from clicking cockpit selfies. Recently, six pilots of IndiGo came under the scanner of the DGCA for allegedly taking pictures in the cockpit with family members. Under the Aircraft Rules, 1937, photography from an aircraft in flight is prohibited unless there is prior permission from authorities concerned. The DGCA has found rampant violation of these rules.  With increased u

AIRLANDER 10 : World's Largest Aircraft Damage During Landing On 19/08/2016 I Have shared a content about World's largest Aircraft : Airlander 10. It has crashed during its second test flight.  The 92m long aircraft was damaged during the flight. C rew were safe and well.   The flight went really well and the only issue was when it landed. A line that was hanging down from the plane hit the telegraph pole about two fields away. Then, as it came in to land, it seemed to nose dive and landed on the cockpit, smashing it up. CLICK HERE FOR VIDEO About Airlander : Weight  44,100 lbs (20,000kg). Maximum speed  80 knots (148km/h). Altitude it can reach  20,000ft (6,100m). Airlander 10 can carry a ten tonne payload and is supposed to be able to stay in the air for up to five days. The company hopes to be building ten of them per year by 2021.

Boeing aircraft parts are manufactured in the Nagpur-India MUST WATCH : VIDEO-BOEING-TAL MIHAN PROJECT NAGPUR... Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday said Nagpur is on the global map because of aviation company Boeing and the Tata Group. It is a proud moment for all of us that some key parts for a Boeing aircraft are manufactured in the Nagpur,” Fadnavis said, adding with the help of Tata Group, MIHAN has put the country on the global aviation map. The chief minister dispatched the 5000th ‘beam’ from TAL Manufacturing Solutions to Boeing at a function at MIHAN Nagpur. TAL is a Tata Group entity. “City-based based TAL is manufacturing major parts for Boeing aircraft and Airbus also. It shows that Nagpur and Vidarbha region has talent along with the best human resources,” Fadnavis said. “When I was at Boeing’s headquarters in US, I was told that this part (beam) came from Nagpur. It was a proud moment for me. TAL would be the brand ambassador of the country in the aeros

World’s Largest Aircraft : Airlander 10

World’s Largest Aircraft Take-off It is thought to be the world’s largest aircraft. Airlander 10, a giant blimp shaped helium-filled airship, has made its maiden voyage in front of hundreds of spectators, taking off from a field in central England. It has been nicknamed the “flying bum” because of its bulbous front end. “Well this is a piece of aviation history. I see a lot of vintage aircraft flying around, and find them fascinating. So to see something that is at the cutting edge of aviation technology, I wasn’t going to miss that for the world,” said one spectator. The company which built the airship says it uses less fuel than a plane, can carry heavier loads and stays up for days at a time. “What it does now, and will do, is fly, point to point, a bit like a giant helicopter, taking bigger loads, longer distances, cheaper, safer and crucially, without the same damage to the environment,” says Stephen McGlennan,  CEO , Hybrid Air Vehicles Ltd. The airship was initially developed

Pokemon NO! Airbus Broughton employees banned from playing Pokemon Go at work...

Airbus Broughton employees banned from playing Pokemon Go at work Employees working at  Airbus’  Brought-on  plant  have been banned from  playing Pokemon Go  at work because of security and safety fears. An email from bosses has been sent to around 6,000 workers forbidding them  playing the popular mobile game. It’s understood the email was sent after a worker played the game whilst on site at the  wing-making factory in  Flint-shire . Last month the Bristol Post reported employees at the Airbus site in Filton were “bemused” as dozens of  Pokemon fans  started flocking to the high security site to play Pokemon Go. A spokesman for Airbus was reported to have said at the time: “It’s a serious point – working factories are not places where people should be distracted by playing games. “They can be hazardous places if not treated with respect.” He added: “Unauthorized  photography has never been permitted at Airbus sites, for reasons of commercial confidentiality primarily. “This applies

Boeing Patents Use Of Artillery Shells To Extinguish Fires.

Image
Boeing Patents Use Of Artillery Shells To Extinguish Fires Boeing has recently filed  a patent application  for a specially designed artillery shell. This can extinguish fires where a firefighter can’t reach. For example, inside a burning floor of a tall building, or inside a factories where fire has gone wild. And yeah, it will be of great help to control forest fires by firing artillery rounds from miles away. The firefighting artillery shell by Boeing carries fire retardant instead of ammunition that can be fired using a howitzer, illustrates one of a drawings. The explosion of environment friendly artillery shells – yes the patent mentions it to be – can be controlled to have a greater impact. For example, it can be made to explode right over a particular spot. Also a GPS location or a countdown timer can be set. Boeing has always been an innovative company that time and again comes up with out of the box ideas. Last year, for example, in one of its patents, Boeing disclosed a meth

Airbus has wild plan to introduce 'FLYING CARS'

Image
To combat traffic problems across the globe Airbus has wild plan to introduce flying cars Airbus Group experts are looking skywards to develop radical concepts that will relieve urban congestion. The aircraft manufacturer said it had experts pursuing a project, known as vahana, to develop autonomous flying vehicles. Project executive Rodin Lyasoff said the company hopes to test the first vehicle prototype by the end of 2017. He believes the system would be suited to a flying taxi model, which would operate similarly to car-sharing applications booked using smartphones. We believe that global demand for this category of aircraft can support fleets of millions of vehicles worldwide, In as little as 10 years, we could have products on the market that revolutionize urban travel for millions of people. Airbus chief executive Tom Enders said a network of flying taxis might sound like science fiction, but he strongly believed the vision was already taking s

Correctness for Misconceptions about Aircraft - 2

1. The upper surface of a wing will deflect air, but the lower surface is  horizontal, so it has little effect. INCORRECT. Incorrect, but for an interesting reason. If a thin flat wing deflects air downwards, the  air above the wing and the air below the wing are equally deflected.  Both the upper and lower surfaces create the lifting force.  If we then make this wing thicker and streamlined, the total amount  of deflected air and the lifting force remain the same... but the  air below the wing APPEARS less deflected, and the air above the wing  appears more deflected. Also, the pressure below the wing APPEARS  to provide less lift. This happens because a thick wing must push  air out of its way, and as the flowing air splits up and down to make  a space for the oncoming wing, air below the wing takes a straighter  path. It takes a straighter path because the thickness of the wing  bends air upwards at the same time as the tilt of the wing bends air  downwards.  This has no effect on t

Does the shape of the nose on a rocket affect how high it goes?

Image
Shape of the nose on a rocket affect how high it goes. Yes, the shape of the nose on any flying vehicle is important because it affects the amount of drag the craft experiences. Drag is one of the four forces of flight, as illustrated below. Four forces acting on an aircraft in flight A rocket primarily travels in a vertical direction rather than the horizontal flight path followed by most aircraft. The same four forces of flight still act on a rocket, but the directions in which they act and their magnitudes vary as shown below. Four forces acting on a rocket in flight    In particular, the lift force acting on a rocket in vertical flight is usually pretty small. The other three forces, however, all directly impact the maximum height the rocket can achieve. Weight is a function of how each component of the rocket is designed. The lighter the rocket is, the higher it will be able to go all else being equal. Thrust is generated by the rocket's motor. The more thrust the motor produc

EMIRATES B777 CRASH AT DUBAI AIRPORT...

EMIRATES B777 CRASH Yesterday,  Emirates flight from Thiruvananthapuram crash-lands at Dubai airport. 282 passengers and 18 crew were there in flight. As per reports all passengers and crew were evacuate safely but one firefighter Jasim Issa Mohammed Hassan died while he was fighting with fire and saving passengers life from fired aircraft. Landing Gear Fail... During approach, there was a fault with landing gear. Landing gear was unable to extend. Pilots tried to abort the landing and they were telling to ATC that they wanted to GO AROUND. While lower the landing gear as it came into land, the belly of the plane appears to be in contact with the runway and engine got fire.  Investigation is still going on to find the exact problem as Boeing 777 is the safest Aircraft of Boeing.

Correctness for Misconceptions about Aircraft.

1. Wings create lift because they are curved on top and flat on the bottom. INCORRECT. Incorrect... because only some wings look like that, while other wings are symmetrical (they're the same on top and bottom,) while still others are flat on top and curved on the bottom!  And don't forget the hang-gliders and the Wright Brothers' flyer, both of which used thin fabric wings with equal curvature top and bottom. The lifting force does not vanish if an airplane fly upside-down. Explanations for flight involve other things, and not airfoil asymmetry. 2. Part of the lifting force is due to Bernoulli effect, and part is due to Newton. INCORRECT Incorrect because ALL wings, regardless of shape or degree of tilt,  must create 100% of their lift because of Newton. To say otherwise  would mean that a wing could violate Newton's Laws! Yet at the same  time, ALL wings create 100% of their lift because of the Bernoulli  Equation. This is true because 100% of the lifting force comes
